Treason and Sedition
america politicsYesterday the President of the United States incited a mob of his supporters whom he had encouraged to come to the District of Columbia (both in statements in his public appearances and via social media) to storm the Capitol and attempt to raise an insurrection against the lawful government of the United States. He has committed every possible offense against his high office and he must be removed from it. Now, I’m not new in coming to this opinion. My opinions of the president are well and widely known. Viz:
“Gary, what do you think of President Trump?”
“Well, inner dialogue voice, I think he is a syphilitic travesty of a man doddering greasily toward an inevitable fraud conviction.”
But I would implore you to recognize that this has nothing to do with your opinion of Mr. Trump. This has to do with your opinion of America and your opinion of the rule of law. If you like those things, Trump has to go. If you don’t, well, frankly, you don’t need to waste your breath telling me about it.
